There is obviously a concerted effort by the government to suppress truth, and the mainstream media is their spin machine. Ron Paul predicted the economic crisis we all face now as far back as 1983. He didn't blame Clinton or Reagan or Bush.
No other Congressional Representative nor Presidential candidate has been so bold and honest in their assessment of the scope and depth of the issues we face. And only Ron Paul has steadfastly defended the rights of the States and of We the People as is expressed by our Constitution.
The rest of the GOP field seem like just more of the same hype and rhetoric that created the problems we now face. Only Ron Paul has correctly identified the usurpation of rights through the Federal Reserve System which is an unlawful act based on explicit Constitution directives to Congress, to coin currency as well as set the value of that currency.
The limitations of federal authority, have been grossly breached and misrepresented for many decades now, so much so, that the people feel that the government does have that authority based on citations by Congress and the Supreme Court, such as the commerce and necessary and proper clauses.
But using these limited powers to usurp the rest of the Constitution is a travesty, perpetuated by acts that do border treason. The very survival of the republic depends on what will happen in the 2012 elections.
Having Dr. Paul as our President will insure that no acts of Congress will be signed by the President that do not fall within the Constitution limits of federal government authority. But that in itself will not be enough to restore the republic to its intended form, nor will it produce the fiscal responsibility required to create a sound monetary policy, based on asset-backed currency.
So it is up to We the People to not only elect Ron Paul as our next President, but to also elect representatives to both Congressional houses, so that his Constitutional policies can be carried forth.
As patriotic Americans, it is not only our right, but our duty to remove from office, all members who will not obey their sworn oaths to defend and uphold the Constitution. When choosing your Representatives and Senators for the 2012 general election, the only criteria that is required, is that they uphold the Constitution and represent the needs and wants addressed by their constituents.
For your State primary: Register as Republican or if permitted by election rules, register Independent as get Ron Paul on the ballot.
For the November, 2012 General/Presidential election: Choose wisely!
Restore America to the Constitutional federal republic representing the will of We the People!

Cancer Cure in Cannabis?
So I watched the video and learned a little. The little that I learned was that more and more, the medical benefits of cannabis are becoming apparent to more doctors. But there remains a strong advocacy for government control via FDA approvals.
Tremendous PBS Video Explains Why Medical Cannabis Works — And How Big Pharma Is Planning To Cash In On It
https://www.pbs.org/video/2103797319/#
Marijuana in all its various forms, must be totally legal as alcohol and tobacco are. There is no evidence to indicate cannabis is any more of a health risk than either of the aforementioned popular "drugs" of choice.
Contact your Representative and tell them to bring the Paul-Frank bill of to the floor of the House for public forum discussion and debate. Allow medical experts that have a clinical history with cannabis make their presentations, instead of the lobby for the pharmaceutical companies and the spin of an ill-informed media.
For this story I commend the producers at PBS. It was the right thing to do.

Almost Like Hitler's Youth Corps
Along with the PSA videos that tell citizens, "If you see something, say something" we are becoming what the National Socialists engineered for the citizens of Germany, where anyone that disagrees with government will be labeled as an extremist or terrorist and hence a threat to national security.
How much more obvious does it need to be before the majority of Americans see what is quickly becoming a police state? We already have elected public servants that are turning on the people who put them in office, labeling Tea Party supporters as terrorists and subversives, claiming that the goal of the group is to bring down the government.
No, that is not true, and any awake and reasonable individual can never come to such an absurd conclusion about their fellow Americans, who are simply fed up with the rhetoric from both major parties, and are going to use the voice of the people to change it.
We must stop Congress and the White House from spending money they don't have, and then come crying to the people that they need to raise taxes or reduce services to Americans. And we Americans who don't buy that line anymore, are going to keep making noise about reducing spending, and you can call us whatever names suits your agenda.
But we will not allow any group, including those who have abused the privileges of office to attempt to stop us from our just and proper causes of liberty and Constitutional limits of power. We are not going to be intimidated by "Hitler Youth Corps" tactics either.

Quake Rocks DC
After the remarks made by Congresswoman Maxine Waters that, "The Tea Party can go straight to hell," it only seemed fitting that a 5.8 earthquake would rock the Capital. It may be an omen. A sign that the times are changing, but not the way that the White House and the left has expected.
Americans are waking up to realize that neither Democrats nor Republicans have reduced spending nor the size of government. They are realizing that after all the hype and fanfare, Barack Obama will be a one term President.
Perhaps the quake is also a reminder that to end the business-as-usual politics in Washington, we are looking outside of the limitations of the two parties and their agendas. If that is the case, then it looks increasingly apparent that the one candidate that serves the best interest of the people, and has demonstrated that service for nearly three decades is Dr. Ron Paul.
It will be a battle not only between the Tea Party and the left, but the GOP standard bearers are on notice also that the Tea Party wants results and not rhetoric.
We need to "shake things up" in Washington.

Perry's Position on the Courts
Republican presidential hopeful Rick Perry wrote about several interesting ideas in his book, Fed Up! Our Fight to Save American from Washington. He wants to make changes to the Constitution for the United States, some of which appear to be to the benefit of the people, but in reality, they would give Congress more power than they presently usurp, beyond the limits granted by the Constitution.
Perry would like to abolish lifetime tenure for federal judges by amending Article III, Section I of the Constitution:
Perry's assertion that the court is not accountable to the people is correct. The court is not accountable to the people nor to the legislature. The court is only accountable to the Constitution and to the Common Law, the Law of the Land. The fact that the courts assert powers beyond those delegated by the Constitution is in fact reason to enforce the Constitution, not change it.
The Supreme Court's beginnings of interpretation of the Constitution can be traced to Marbury v. Madison, 5 I. S. (1 Cranch) 137 (1803) which for the first time, allowed the court to give itself the power to interpret the meaning of the Constitution; to write new law in a very real way that subverts the powers of the legislature, who by Constitutional authority, is the branch of government responsible for making law.
To force the court to be accountable to the people subjects the courts to rule by the emotions of the general populace, which is mob rule. That is contrary to all the ideals of government that our founders were seeking to accomplish with the design of the Constitution and its clear limits and separation of powers.
Perry feels that an amendment that will permit Congress to override a Supreme Court decision with a two-thirds majority, would essentially make any decision reached by the court reversible if the political climate so deems. Not a very good idea at all. It ends the Judicial Branch of Government and puts Congress in the position of not only writing the laws, but to change them as they deem fit toward the agenda of the party in majority office.
Perhaps if Perry was really so Constitutional, he will bring up the original thirteenth Article of Amendment to the Constitution for the united States of America. It has been omitted from printed copies of the Constitution for decades, mainly since the end of the Civil War.
For those that are not familiar with this Amendment:
"If any citizen of the United States shall accept, claim, receive, or retain any title of nobility or honour, or shall without the consent of Congress, accept and retain any present, pension, office, or emolument of any kind whatever, from any emperor, king, prince, or foreign power, such person shall cease to be a citizen of the United States, and shall be incapable of holding any office of trust or profit under them, or either of them."
Perry would like to abolish lifetime tenure for federal judges by amending Article III, Section I of the Constitution:
"The judicial Power of the United States shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish."

There was an addition proposed by the Senate that would have granted Congress the power to enact punishments of fines and incarceration, but it was defeated.
There are strong arguments that make the 14th Amendment invalid, and the 16th and 17th are also suspect due to the conditions and time during their passages and ratifications. The history of that is beyond the scope of t his post, yet it is important that everyone researches the Constitution and knows it well.
The Constitution belongs to us, We the People, or most relevantly, we the Sovereign Individuals residing within the boundaries of one of the many Sovereign States. It is from us that the Constitution is passed to the federal government, in unanimous agreement with the representatives of the States and the People, as to the powers and limitations granted to that federal government on our behalf.
Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate who not only understands this, but his career in Congress demonstrates he lives by it. He is the one that has identified the causes and supplied the proper remedies to the problems of our nation.

No So Fast there, Gov'nor!
While it appears that Fox News has jumped aboard the Perry bandwagon, and is riding his hype about being the job creating leader of all governors, there are some truths about this "Texas Miracle" that first must be told.
According to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, the June unemployment rate for the state of Texas was 8.2%, while below the national average, is still only an average and does not reflect some of the counties with unemployment rates higher than 12%. In May, Houston's non-seasonally adjusted unemployment rate jumped to 9%.
There are other truths that Rick Perry will not be publicizing in his bid for the White House.
Texas is ranked 50th (last) in the number of people who receive a high school diploma by age 25.
37% of Texas jobs pay at or below the minimum federal wage. Texas is tied with Mississippi for the highest percentage of minimum wage jobs.
Texas is 41st of 50 states in the percentage of jobs requiring post-secondary education.
Texas is the leader by far of states whose residents lack any health insurance.
It appears that Governor Perry's Texas Miracle jobs are mainly minimum wage and and below with no benefits. So as President he will put the country to work where? At McDonald's and Taco Bell?
More to come on Perry in the next few days.

A Reader Rips Perry (And Rightly So!)
Letter from a reader:
Gov. Rick Perry reminds me of a slicker more polished
version of Richard Nixon.
Lie, lie, lie the ends justify the means: who really
cares? They are, after all, just promises for votes.
Gov. Perry's track record in Texas has all of the same
philosophies as Obama with the added ethics of George
W. Bush Jr. and the morals of Dick Cheney.
Slicker and faster will end our Nation even better,
and kill you and your family sooner.
The politicians keep on violating our Constitutional
Rights and passing legislation or signing executive
orders which will end our way of life and deprive us
of our Constitution, our rights and our country.
There is only one Statesman, who has said all along,
"Uphold The Constitution." Dr. Ron Paul.
Under Perry's leadership, by "executive order" he attempted to bypass the legislative process to force the HPV vaccine to be given to all 6th grade Texas females. The legislature did stand its ground.
According to the Huffington Post, the majority of jobs "created" were minimum wage jobs with no benefits. The unemployment rate in Houston in May without seasonally adjusted figures was 9%, nearly equal the national level.
It seems clear to me that the mainstream media and the spin from the left would like to see Perry get the nomination, for his record will demonstrate that people would be no better off with him than Obama's and insure a win for the incumbent President. That will surely spell disaster for the United States.
While finishing second in the recent Iowa straw poll behind Tea Party favorite and native daughter, Michelle Bachmann, Ron Paul is ignored by the press, who instead focus on Mitt Romney, a man who signed into law a health care plan in Massachusetts as abominable as Obama's national plan, in fact Obama may have copied his from Romney, according to the comments of former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty.
It will take much campaigning by We the People to get Dr. Paul elected, but in the long run it will be worth the effort to restore Constitutional integrity in Washington, do the courageous and difficult task of reducing spending and limiting the ability to spend beyond a balanced budget. And with the addition of freshmen Senators and more Representatives in the House, he will have the majority to do the work necessary to restore our currency to the standard bearer of the world's economy.
When the government no longer serves the best interests of its people, it is both necessary and proper to replace that government with a new one. We have the mechanism to do so through the ballot box. We just have to stop voting for the same Democrats and Republicans that got us into this crisis and perpetuate it.

Media Hype Aside: Ron Paul Stands Out!
When the debate was over, the Fox News pundits praised Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, and Michelle Bachmann received honorable mention. But while ignoring the facts, it was clear that none of the others could match the ideology and common sense exhibited once again by Dr. Paul.
Again, as was the case in the earlier debate, Ron Paul's insistence on the Federal Reserve System bearing a larger responsibility for the economic issues, was picked up by Gingrich and to a lesser extent by Rick Santorum, but both fell short of the mark in calling for an end to the Fed's control over the money supply.
Calling for asset-backed currency, Dr. Paul was direct and to the point, where others felt that spending and regulations that hurt business development were the primary issues. None seemed to understand or at worst, seemed to brush off the idea that the Fed was creating money out of thin air and then selling it to the US at a price above face value. As I explained in a prior post, we can never get out of debt so long as the Federal Reserve allows the banks to create money (debt) without assets to back those debts (loans).
Gold has been a standard since the beginnings of recorded history. While salt was also an asset that was used for commerce, gold replaced it as a more convenient form of exchange and was/is the standard by which all currencies are valued. Having gold in reserve gives the currency backing, so the currency can never be worth less than the value of the gold coin or the reserves that back the paper dollar. Ron Paul explained this many times in the past, but it still escapes the general public and is omitted by the media pundits.
Dr. Paul also demonstrated why we need to bring our troops home, even in the face of a nuclear program by Iran. And when Rick Santorum interjected that we have been at war with Iran since 1979, Dr. Paul gave a brief lesson in history that clearly showed that it was by our intervention and support of the dictator Shah Pahlavi, that the "war" against the United States was promulgated by the oppressed people of Iran. The same can be said for the support of Ferdinand Marcos in the Philippines, who also was a dictator and was eventually overthrown by the Philippine people. Ron Paul said it plainly, we need to "mind our own business" and stop promoting "peace" through force.
While he took criticism for his views on marriage, I feel that all the candidates failed to articulate the legal ramifications of a marriage versus a civil union. While I do not feel that a gay couple has any more rights than a heterosexual couple, and while I feel the institution of marriage is best left to the religions that provide such ceremonies, there is a need for legal definition to authorize beneficiary rights to a partner, regardless of sexual orientation. When a marriage is dissolved through divorce, the legal authorizations cease to exist as well. I see no difference with gay unions, they need to be granted the same fiduciary rights as any other union.
Regarding health care, it was a point that was missed by the rest when Dr. Paul spoke of how the markets need to be the driving force to provide health care and not the state or federal government. The issue was brought to a comparison to State laws on drivers licenses, which has been challenged in federal court, and precedence indicates that a free individual does not need to obtain a driver's license to operate a motor vehicle, but by obtaining one, an individual is entering into a contractual agreement with the State, whereby one is waiving rights to free passage and subjecting oneself to the laws, rules, regulations of the State and the law enforcement officers who then have the authority to impede travel for cause.
Finally, I checked out about a half dozen polls this morning and all of them listed Ron Paul as the winner of the debate. Why has the media, including Fox News, ignored this fact and instead reports that Mitt Romney was the "clear" winner? It does seem apparent to me that the Republican Party's agenda is contrary to dealing with issues realistically and honestly. That is why we MUST get Ron Paul on the ballot and in the White House.

Truth About US Debt
The debt ceiling increase deals with money already spent or incurred or obligated.
It has nothing to do with the budget other than to pay for what we've already spent.
The Debt Ceiling equals current obligations. The Budget equals future obligations.
The current US debt including derivative repayment and loss to inflation is now approaching four quadrillion and will exceed that figure by the end of 2012. The value of the dollar in purchasing worth is now below five cents.
Now think about this: If it were possible to gather together all of the Federal Reserve Notes held globally, and bring them here to America , it would only pay one tenth of the total debt! Why? Because fractional reserve banking creates 90% additional debt via loans which the banks have no deposits for.

The Markets Respond to the Debt Deal
With the closing bell, the markets have responded to the debt ceiling raise:
And that was just in America. The world markets fair no better. With much rhetoric about the Tea Party Movement being blamed in the liberal media for all the ills of the Republican Party and their refusal to compromise, they are blazing new paths of journalistic malfeasance. The President is enjoying his birthday in Chicago while continuing to campaign and raise funds for his reelection. Congress takes the rest of the summer off, unemployment claims rise, and We the People are left with nothing more than lip service from those we elected, and who swore oaths to follow and protect the Constitution from all enemies, both foreign and domestic. Seems there are many enemies of the People elected to public office.
At least one Tea Party Caucus representative has stood by his promises:
I wrote earlier that the November 2010 election results that swept a majority of Republicans into office, was merely a "shot across the bow" and that everyone would be watching what effects that would have on the President. Initially, the liberal media predicted that he would swing more toward the center, but in fact he has swung farther to the socialist left, demanding and receiving a raise in the debt limit with no immediate impact on reduction in spending, in fact, the government will increase spending at least until 2012 elections.
I have been a registered Libertarian for many years, although I am not a dues paying member of the Libertarian Party. But I will change my registration so that I can vote for Ron Paul as the candidate who will beat Obama in 2012. The media will continue to ignore him when they can and ridicule him when they cannot ignore him. But there is no denying that he is the ONLY candidate that addresses ALL of the issues strictly from a Constitutional perspective and not a populist one.

"The stock market reaction this week has proved something I said during this debate: the long-term problem wasn't the debt ceiling being raised or not, it was the debt crisis, the unsustainable level of our debt. The plan Congress passed, which I opposed, did nothing to solve the debt crisis, and the market reaction shows it."
And his father, long-time Congressman from Texas, Dr. Ron Paul has also said the same things for many years. What is happening now was predicted and avoidable. This is not a problem with Democrats or Republicans, so much as it is a problem with American people, who have been swindled out of their Constitutional government based on the lies of the corrupt politicians they keep reelecting from the same two parties. Americans have become complacent and complain rather than take action to remove those party loyal politicians from office.I wrote earlier that the November 2010 election results that swept a majority of Republicans into office, was merely a "shot across the bow" and that everyone would be watching what effects that would have on the President.
