As we anticipate the President's State of the Union address this evening, it occurs to me that we have strayed far afield of the context of representative government. Today the loyalty toward political parties has eroded the very fabric of our republic, and now threatens the very sovereignty of the nation.
The people we elect are given a privilege to protect the rights of their constituents, to take the people's voices to Washington so they may be heard by the rest of the nation. I never voted for someone so they can tell me what I need, or what they think I need. The same is true for the State legislature, which is also being threatened by an overbearing federal government, that is ignoring their Constitutional limitations and forcing all Americans toward a socialist society.
In the coming weeks, I am going to focus on what we need to do as a nation, with or without the support of the federal government. I am going to focus on how we can all use our State governments to nullify federal laws and mandates that are clearly in violation of Constitutional limitations. Perhaps even present the "evidence" that demonstrates the usurpation of our rights by a Congress that feels it has authority vested in it beyond the limits of our Constitution.
We are supplying foreign aid to nations that do not like us. We are contributing to charities to help people that have suffered natural disasters and the funds never get to where there are needed, instead they are being used by corrupt governments to purchase weapons that ultimately are turned on our troops and our tourists abroad.
We are purchasing goods that are made in foreign nations while corporations that make products are leaving the US and taking jobs with them. We buy more imports then we sell exports. No wonder, since we hardly make anything that consumers in foreign nations want or need.
We are spending more than we earn and borrowing from foreign nations to pay for it. We find fault with nations like China who promote industry and capital growth in their own nation as if their wanting a better life for their people is in itself detrimental to America. It is not! We need to return to the same free market ethics that made America the most envious and prosperous nation on the planet.
I feel that the very first step is to return America to a monetary system that is asset backed. We must get the Federal Reserve banking system out of our government and charge Congress with their Constitutional responsibility and obligation to the nation to coin currency and set the value of it. It needs to be Congress and the United States Department of the Treasury that determines the value of the U.S. dollar and its value toward other currencies around the world. And once America starts manufacturing again, once America farmers can sell their crops without subsidies and don't destroy crops to artificially inflate the prices, we will then possess reserves that can further back our dollar and prevent it from deflating or inflating.
Our tax dollars need to stay here in America to help Americans and not increase the wealth of banks and foreign nations.
Restore America to the Constitutional federal republic representing the will of We the People!

There are fundamental flaws in how American government operates today,
contrary to the Constitution and the vision of a representative republican form of governance.
I intend doing something about it: by educating and informing others who
are not even aware of the dangers.

Knee-jerk Reactions: Political Exploitation by Jerks
My sympathy to those who lost loved ones in the senseless shooting in Tuscon. A sad day for all of us Americans who see this tragedy for what it really is; an isolated incident, perpetrated by an emotionally disturbed young man, who somehow managed to fall through the cracks. Not his parents, nor his teachers and fellow students, and not even the local law enforcement system was able to identify the warning signs.
But the sheriff and liberals all over are now condemning the right, Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and anyone that speaks out against the government as being to blame. Calls to impede the free flow of information on the Internet, make it a crime to speak publicly or blog against government policy, reinstate the mandate (a clear First Amendment violation) by the Federal Communications Commission. "They" want to make opposition to the left's agenda a criminal act. And why not? Isn't that how socialism works? You cannot have freedoms to oppose the government and have the government take care of you too!
Since I am not affiliated with any political party, I can and will make statements that oppose policies of either or both. And no political agenda will stop me from writing or speaking out on the insane policies of a government run amok. As I stated in previous posts, the past election results was a warning to those holding office: Listen to what the people are telling you, not your party or your campaign contributors.
The general elections for 2012 of course will also include the Presidential race. The party in power, the party that makes and breaks promises, DNC or RNC is not the issue. I want to see more candidates that have no political experience and no party affiliations make the ballot. They are the people we need to get into office. We need to literally clean out all the stagnation in government.
Remember all of the people who are using this tragedy in Tuscon for political points. Remember they used the this tragedy to denigrate their opposition, not just the conservative right, but the patriotic Americans that back the Tea Party Movement to restore the republic to the Constitutional representative government it was designed to be.
Cast your votes for new representatives that do not have a stake in Washington politics, who will represent YOU! It may be the single most important vote in the history of the United States of America.

Charity Begins at Home
I was raised and taught to be compassionate and charitable. When I was younger and still in school, I gave to UNICEF, United Way, patronized the Scouts, volunteered to answer telephones and canvas door-to-door. But I also learned that there are those in need that live in my own neighborhood, and for reasons of pride, would not ask for help. But they certainly needed it.
I continued to be in service to others throughout my adult life, working the concession stands for the local baseball or football leagues, and although it was a paid position, went to get state certification to be home care provider for a friend that suffered a massive stroke. And I took care of my dying wife at home rather than allow her to die alone in a hospice.
I am now faced with the prospect of needing support myself and because of who I am and what I stand for, I will not receive any support from any state or federal entitlement programs. And that is as it should be, I need to find my own path, regardless of how challenging that may be.
I decided long ago to always be up front with others, and regardless of how devious some may be, not to be like that in my life. So I am now asking for your support, not just to get the talk show up, but right now I honestly need it to live on. I am not offering to push the agenda of anyone else. I will remain as I am in my principles and compassion toward all life, and grateful for what I do have as there are those that have less.
I will continue to do for others regardless of what is happening in my personal life. In fact I find it supportive of my own well being in doing for others and I always encourage others to "pay it forward" and not wait for someone to do something for you first.
The more we do for each other, the less dependent we are on government, which always has strings attached.

Keeping Up With The Joneses: American Congressional (in)Desrcetionary Spending
Cut spending, cut spending, cut spending!
It really seems that Congress does not listen to what the people want. While making a last minute passage of the Bush-era tax cuts extension the lame-duck Congress also spent more money, and that was not inclusive of the funding for government operating costs. They just don't get it.
We provide aids to dozens of foreign nations who hate us. If they hate us when we help them, it won't be a great loss if we save the money for American needs. Remove federal education funding to states and reduce taxes accordingly. The States can then add taxes they need to fund education as best suits their needs. Federal guidelines and standards have proven to be substandard on a global scale.
Business and industry will provide funding because those graduates will be the people that they will hire. Stop importing workers and exporting jobs. In some areas here in Oregon (Lane County) there is 12%+ unemployment. The State average is over 10%. We need to create jobs, first by reducing the taxes and regulations on companies, and removing subsidies that keep prices and wages higher. Let the markets run free!
Most important is to reestablish a monetary system that is asset backed. Repeal of the Federal Reserve for me is more a priority than even the Health Care bill. Having a currency that is backed by a tangible asset stabilizes the value of the currency. It gives currency inherent value that is based on the assets that back it. Gold, silver, oil, wheat, corn, pork bellies, whatever assets can be bought and sold in exchange for silver and gold, is a tangible asset that can maintain a stable value for the monetary system and allow it to expand simply by adding assets to back it.
With all of the debt incurred just over the past decade, America is very close to a total meltdown. Regardless of when it happens, it will be as bad at the Great Depression for millions of people. There is no getting away from it, but the recovery period can be hastened or prolonged depending on how we as Americans act.
If we just allow it to happen and allow the government to fix it, we will be facing the prospect of the end of the United States of America as a sovereign nation, and will become a "member" of the North American Union, which was established under UN policy complete with the new currency of the NAU, the Amero.
