There are fundamental flaws in how American government operates today,
contrary to the Constitution and the vision of a representative republican form of governance.
I intend doing something about it: by educating and informing others who
are not even aware of the dangers.

End Prohibition

I have never advocated the use of drugs regardless where they are obtained. That being said, I do advocate the use of herbs and natural remedies of all types.

Hemp is an industrial valuable plant. The ability of hemp to be useful in so many ways other than as a 'drug' is overwhelming testimony to the plants diversity.

I am not going to list all of the many uses of hemp in this blog post because it is well known to many that hemp has been useful for thousands of years in making clothing, rope, sails, etc. Smoking hemp is the only focus of our overbearing government. The media plays the game with them.

I do not drink alcohol nor do I take any prescription drugs at all. The last time I did was when I had my left hip replaced back in 1997, and only until I was released from the hospital. I did use cannabis in several forms to help with pain and swelling. I have smoked cannabis for over 40 years and contrary to the spin regarding it being a "steppingstone drug" I have never had the desire to try other drugs as a step up from cannabis.

I currently possess a medical marijuana card issued by the State of Oregon. It appalls me to learn that growers and providers cannot dispense the medicine for a profit. The State is afraid of that because that will ire the DEA and that means agents including the FBI will come to Oregon to "bust" the grow sites and dispensaries. Well it appears to me a quite simple solution is at hand.

First the State must end prohibition of hemp in all forms. Then it must include the language that explicitly includes the State and County law enforcement agencies with the authority to protect the citizens who choose to grow, provide, and use cannabis from the federal government. We the People must do more than merely complain about this, we must elect representatives at all levels of government who will do the right thing.

Here in the Congressional district represented currently by Peter DeFazio, we must elect Art Robinson to that seat in the House and vote for Ron Paul as our 45th President of the United States.
