Trump is a Pathological Narcissist

The Esteemed Readers of Fix America may recall the post, The Hope For America: Know Yourself and Set Yourself Free in which world-renown psychiatrist Samuel Vaknin claims that Barack Obama is a pathological narcissist and a dangerous person. 

Recently, in an article written by Richard Larsen for the Conservative Daily News, Donald Trump is compared to the narcissistic Barack Obama, and in some cases, surpasses Obama in his arrogance and demeaning of those who dare disagree with him. The following is an excerpt from that article.

"And now we have the bombastic, egocentric real estate mogul from New York mirroring the self-absorption seemingly endemic with our 44th president. And he’s already setting some records with his self-congratulatory rhetoric.

“I’m really rich.” “I’m proud of my net worth.” “I’ve done an amazing job.” “I’m really proud of my success. I really am.” “I’m not doing that to brag because you know what? I don’t have to brag.” But he just can’t seem to help himself! And so Donald Trump self-adulated himself 257 times in his 45 minute presidential bid announcement speech last month. That even exceeded Obama’s 208 self-laudatory references in his 22 minute, 2007 presidential announcement. That’s pretty impressive when you can out-“narcissize” the Narcissist In Chief!

But aside from his egocentrism, the most glaring verity related to Trump’s presidential bid is that he doesn’t belong on the Republican ticket. He clearly is not a conservative, and probably aligns ideologically much more with Bernie Sanders than he does with any of the other 15 candidates on the Republican ticket.

Over the years, Trump has been a proponent for single-payer government funded healthcare, a socialistic step to the left of Obamacare. He’s been a supporter of abortion, has advocated an assault weapons ban, and has even floated the idea of forcing the rich to forfeit 14% of their total wealth to reduce the federal debt.

He has donated heavily to Bill and Hillary Clinton’s campaigns, and to the Clinton Foundation. And when he married his third wife in 2005, Bill and Hillary were on his guest list. And his financial support for Democrat House and Senate candidates has far eclipsed what he’s donated on GOP candidates.
According to public campaign disclosures, 21 of Trump’s 30 political donations have gone to liberal Democrats and political action committees. Only seven went to Republicans, and two went to Charlie Crist, who, like Trump, doesn’t seem to know which party he belongs to.


And in 2008, he sounded just like every other progressive in the nation, bemoaning George W. Bush’s presidency, when Trump alleged, “He was so incompetent, so bad, so evil.” Trump went on to call Bush “maybe the worst president in the history of this country.”"

Since Fix America first published in 2008, we have done so without partisanship, merely reporting and opining on the individual and not the political party they associate with. Ideologically, we have maintained a stance of constitutional and limited governance, regardless of the views of the candidates and those in office or appointed to positions of authority.

The Abyss of Arrogance and Conceit

It's not about Treyvon Martin nor is it about racism. It's simply about Obama and what Obama thinks is best. It is about a pathological narcissistic liar who lets no tragedy go without exploitation for personal or political gain. The man who calls himself President always makes it about himself because it has to be about him to matter to him. He demonstrates that he cares about nothing outside of his own delusions of grandeur and has surrounded himself with a devoted supporting cast of corrupt characters to do his bidding and offer their blind devotion.

There are so many issues that are of crisis magnitude facing our country, especially our individual rights and sovereignty. And while the media is focused on the newborn British heir to the throne, America suffers bankruptcy in major cities, unemployment and high prices, a health care plan that is failing before it is implemented, and a corrupt administration that will divide the people further with false charges of racism to deflect focus away from their own criminal acts.

We still do not have an investigation into Fast and Furious gun running that was sanctioned by the BATF and DOJ. Like his boss in the Oval Office, Eric Holder needs to be held accountable.

And there is Benghazi and the unaccountable former Secretary of State and the Commander-in Chief who was missing in action during the whole attack that left Americans without any support ti be butchered.

And then we have the IRS scandal where political opponents were targeted for audits and delays in applications for non-profits status. But Obama didn't find out until it was on the news?

I can go on but what is the sense in that? Americans are still asleep in the back of the bus. As the Obama Regime steers us how much deeper is this abyss?

A Boy Wants to be King!

Looking back over the last five years or so, I see a nation that trusts a child with the highest office in the land. I see a child who for all intent and purpose, is so wrapped up in himself that he really believes he can do anything he wants without question or consequence. The scary thing is, he has the most powerful weapons on the planet at his fingertips.

The United States of America is unique in its creation and the proper functions of the government and the People. The participation of the People was made inherent in the fact that the Constitution itself is a contract, between us and the government that is assembled as a result of that contract. 

What I see now is a nation that seems paralyzed by their own ignorance of facts, holding on to an illusion that electing Barack Hussein Obama was to show the world we have emerged into the sphere of humanity and we are truly no longer a racist nation. In the meantime we have a self-centered child leading us into one crisis after another, and he has no clue as to how to fix any of them. He has surrounded himself with childhood playmates who also possess the same delusions of grandeur and who are equally clueless as to what it will take to fix the problems we face. And they seek to destroy all who have the audacity to oppose their dangerous policies.

I do have a plan that will restore integrity and sanity to this once great country. We the People will not elect the candidates that the two major parties nominate. No, we will vet candidates who by the way they live their own lives, demonstrate they are aligned with true patriotism and constitutional law. And with their representation in all levels of government, we will repeal all the laws enacted that are clearly violations of constitution limits. We will reduce spending and taxes so that businesses can become profitable and the taxes on their profits will be enough to sustain a trim national government. Those taxes will be reduced when we have a lean federal government.

It will mean that most Americans will have to take action themselves. It will mean that we cannot just allow someone we elect the trust that they will serve our best interests, unless we perform due diligence and hold them accountable from the start. And when they complete their terms of service, they will return to their previous businesses and jobs, knowing they performed a service to their community, state and/or nation. That it how it was designed to be, without career politicians living off of the tax payers to whom they were elected to serve.

In the coming days and weeks, it is apparent that our narcissistic Commander-in-Chief must be held accountable for his actions, or more precisely, his lack of action when it was required to save American lives. He must be held accountable for dereliction of duty in not taking immediate steps to defend Ambassador Stevens and his staff. And most of all, those who we have elected to office, who swore oaths to defend and protect the Constitution, must impeach this childish President and all those who have been supporting him in deceiving the American people with behavior that is criminal in their implications and deadly in their results. Don't just assume that there are those in Congress who will do the right thing. Demand it!

A Beacon of Light: Take Back America

Perhaps in some way it is self-fulfilling prophecy, the ultimate confrontation of good and evil, playing out on the stage of life each day and yet most Americans are totally unaware of it. All they see are many seemingly unrelated issues, reported more in passing, media dishes out more non-news than real news. There has to be a point where an individual is confronted with the truth and a choice must be made whether to accept it or deny it. For me that time came a long time ago, and it amazes me how very few people have chosen to see the truth.

If you believe what the privately-owned major media reports, you would think that a Romney vs. Obama election is a done deal. Just the past few days even had a rumor making its way around the Internet that Ron Paul folded up his tent and was going to endorse Romney. None of it is true of course, but most Americans swallowed it as if it were.

When I first came across it, I reported it on this blog that the media was ordered silenced on Ron Paul. See Obama Issues ‘Kill Order’ Regarding Ron Paul and Russia Prepares for Nuclear World War III .  The media has hyped Mitt Romney as the greatest thing since sliced bread and the public swallowed it whole. This is the same corporate raider who finished 3^rd in the 2008 GOP race which makes him a 4^th ranked candidate to the eventual occupier of the Oval Office.

The privately-owned major media would have you believe, Obama and the Democratic-socialists (who have taken over the left side of the party) are worried about Romney’s campaign, the truth is that it would not matter at all to us. Only how quickly we are taken over completely by the corporatism statists.

The fact that Congress did not immediately have Defense Secretary Leon Panetta arrested and charged with treason when he told them he gets his marching orders from NATO and the U.N. says volumes about who is really running this country. It certainly is not We the People through our elected representation that much is clear.  Who is actually in charge remains to be determined although it is strongly suggestive that it isn’t  an American.

The so-called Harvard professor occupying the White House admonished the Supreme Court for hearing the case on his namesake health care plan, denouncing their mandated power to judicial review of a law passed in Congress by majority.  For Obama, the fact that he was able to get laws passed is enough of a testimony to his megalomaniacal-narcissistic character to convince me that he is not going to leave office quietly as most defeated Presidents do.

And then recently, I ran across an article sent in an email to me that depicts an even more diabolical and sinister plot to destroy the economy of the United States, in a blog by one Jim Campbell, at his Dancing Czars blog. Now I don’t necessarily think that Obama himself is the mastermind of all this, just the willing pawn who loves the attention and the power he is holding while acting as President.

So knowing that Willard Romney, a third-rate GOP nominee in 2008, is now the party darling, tells us the compromising that the Republican Party itself made.  Add to the sellout compromises made by a GOP majority in the House, and it shows that Congress has not changed all that much with the so-called ‘Tea Party victories’ in 2010. Continued votes for unconstitutional acts only serves to show us how endemic the corruption really is.

While Ron Paul may lead the nation, and be nominated in Tampa, as can be accomplished, we require a Congress that will have the courage to uphold the Constitution with regard to Dr. Paul’s policies when he becomes President. It must also reflect on who we elect at the local and regional levels as well, because we want people in office who represent us and not banks and corporations. We want people who uphold their oaths and defend the Constitution always and not only when it is politically expedient to do so.

We want to take back America from the usurpers, Soros or the Banksters or the Globalists, and restore liberty. We will then have demonstrated to the world that it is the People of the United States of America whose love of freedom will remain, for all humanity to see, like the Statue in the harbor, in the darkness of tyranny a beacon of light.

To say the least, Dr. Vaknin has a colorful history and much more than a passing interest in the psychology of narcissism. The partial comment and summary of Dr. Vaknin's book, 'Malignant Self Love' found below is interesting not only for what it relates, but what it implies about what was inferred by the Americans who heard Obama's speeches, then voted for this person to occupy the presidency.

Common knowledge of Narcissists' habits are those including manipulation of others Narcissistic tendencies to further their controlling nature. The personality of narcissism is so controlling the well-being of others is irrelevant, from harassment and emotional abuse to physical abuse and murdering those who stand in their way......conscience to them doesn't exist!

"Israeli Psychologist on Obama

Dr. Sam Vaknin is an Israeli psychologist. Interesting view on our president. Dr. Vaknin has written extensively about narcissism.

Dr. Vaknin States "I must confess I was impressed by Obama from the first time I saw him. At first I was excited to see a black candidate. He looked youthful, spoke well, appeared to be confident -- a wholesome presidential package. I was put off soon, not just because of his shallowness but also because there was an air of haughtiness in his demeanor that was unsettling.. His posture and his body language were louder than his empty words. Obama's speeches are unlike any political speech we have heard in American history. Never a politician in this land had such quasi "religious" impact on so many people.

The fact that Obama is a total incognito with Zero accomplishment, makes this inexplicable infatuation alarming. Obama is not an ordinary man. He is not a genius. In fact he is quite ignorant on most important subjects."

Dr. Sam Vaknin, the author of the 'Malignant Self Love' believes "Barack Obama appears to be a narcissist." Vaknin is a world authority on narcissism. He understands narcissism and describes the inner mind of a narcissist like no other person. When he talks about narcissism everyone listens. Vaknin says that Obama's language, posture and demeanor, and the testimonies of his closest, dearest friends suggest that the man is either a narcissist or he may have narcissistic personality disorder (NPD).

Narcissists project a grandiose but false image of themselves. Jim Jones, the charismatic leader of People's Temple, the man who led over 900 of his followers to cheerfully commit mass suicide and even murder their own children was also a narcissist. David Koresh, Charles Manson, Joseph Koni, Shoko Asahara, Stalin, Saddam, Mao, Kim Jong Ill and Adolph Hitler are a few examples of narcissists of our time. All these men had a tremendous influence over their fanciers. They created a personality cult around themselves and with their blazing speeches elevated their admirers, filled their hearts with enthusiasm and instilled in their minds a new zest for life. They gave them hope! They promised them the moon, but alas, invariably they brought them to their doom.

When you are a victim of a cult of personality, you don't know it until it is too late. One determining factor in the development of NPD is childhood abuse "Obama's early life was decidedly chaotic and replete with traumatic and mentally bruising dislocations," says Vaknin. "Mixed-race marriages were even less common then. His parents went through a divorce when he was an infant two years old. Obama saw his father only once again, before he died in a car accident. Then his mother re-married and Obama had to relocate to Indonesia , a foreign land with a radically foreign culture, to be raised by a step-father. At the age of ten, he was whisked off to live with his maternal (white) grandparents.He saw his mother only intermittently in the following few years and then she vanished from his life in 1979. "She died of cancer in 1995."

One must never underestimate the manipulative genius of pathological narcissists. They project such an imposing personality that it overwhelms those around them. Charmed by the charisma of the narcissist, people become like clay in his hands. They cheerfully do his bidding and delight to be at his service. The narcissist shapes the world around himself and reduces others in his own inverted image. He creates a cult of personality. His admirers become his co-dependents. Narcissists have no interest in things that do not help them to reach their personal objective. They are focused on one thing alone and that is power. All other issues are meaningless to them and they do not want to waste their precious time on trivialities. Anything that does not help them is beneath them and does not deserve their attention.

If an issue raised in the Senate does not help Obama in one way or another, he has no interest in it. The "present" vote is a safe vote. No one can criticize him if things go wrong. Those issues are unworthy by their very nature because they are not about him.

Obama's election as the first black president of the Harvard Law Review led to a contract and advance to write a book about race relations. The University of Chicago Law School provided him a lot longer than expected and at the end it evolved into, guess what? His own autobiography! Instead of writing a scholarly paper focusing on race relations, for which he had been paid, Obama could not resist writing about his most sublime self. He entitled the book 'Dreams from My Father.

'Not surprisingly, Adolph Hitler also wrote his own autobiography when he was still a nobody. So did Stalin. For a narcissist no subject is as important as his own self. Why would he waste his precious time and genius writing about insignificant things when he can write about such an august being as himself?

Narcissists are often callous and even ruthless. As the norm, they lack conscience. This is evident from Obama's lack of interest in his own brother who lives on only one dollar per month.. A man who lives in luxury, who takes a private jet to vacation in Hawaii, and who raised nearly half a billion dollars for his campaign (something unprecedented in history) has no interest in the plight of his own brother. Why? Because, his brother cannot be used for his ascent to power. A narcissist cares for no one but himself.

This election was like no other in the history of America . The issues were insignificant compared to what is at stake. What can be more dangerous than having a man bereft of conscience, a serial liar, and one who cannot distinguish his fantasies from reality as the leader of the free world?

I hate to sound alarmist, but one is a fool if one is not alarmed. Many politicians are narcissists. They pose no threat to others. They are simply self serving and selfish. Obama evidences symptoms of pathological narcissism, which is different from the run-of-the-mill narcissism of a Richard Nixon or a Bill Clinton for example. To him reality and fantasy are intertwined.

This is a mental health issue, not just a character flaw. Pathological narcissists are dangerous because they look normal and even intelligent. It is this disguise that makes them treacherous. Today the Democrats have placed all their hopes in Obama. But this man could put an end to their party. The great majority of blacks voted for Obama. Only a fool does not know that their support for him is racially driven. This is racism, pure and simple.

The downside of this is that if Obama turns out to be the disaster I predict, he will cause widespread resentment among the whites. The blacks are unlikely to give up their support of their man. Cultic mentality is pernicious and unrelenting. They will dig their heads deeper in the sand and blame Obama's detractors of racism. This will cause a backlash among the whites. The white supremacists will take advantage of the discontent and they will receive widespread support. I predict that in less than four years, racial tensions will increase to levels never seen since the turbulent 1960's.

 

Obama will set the clock back decades. America is the bastion of freedom. The peace of the world depends on the strength of America , and its weakness translates into the triumph of terrorism and victory of rogue nations.. It is no wonder that Ahmadinejad, Hugo Chavez, the Castrists, the Hezbollah, the Hamas, the lawyers of the Guantanamo terrorists, and virtually all sworn enemies of America are so thrilled by the prospect of their man in the White House.

America is on the verge of destruction. There is no insanity greater than electing a pathological narcissist as president.
