There are fundamental flaws in how American government operates today,
contrary to the Constitution and the vision of a representative republican form of governance.
I intend doing something about it: by educating and informing others who
are not even aware of the dangers.

A Fork in the Road

Yes, we have reached a fork in the road as a nation. We have a choice to make that will determine whether or not we really cherish liberty or want to become like every other nation that fell under the yoke of socialist slavery.

We already are questioning the validity of our Constitution in view of world governance, and have not been vigilant of the runaway usurpation by those we chose by election to represent and protect us. Slowly over the decades, our servants have become our leaders and they are leading us off of the path of liberty and onto the road to serfdom.

Even what we eat and drink has become a subject of sociopolitical concern of those who we asked to protect us from a government that steps beyond its constitutional boundaries, and into the private lives of the American People.

What are we to think of a government that uses the same propaganda to scare and disarm its citizens as every dictator and tyrannical government has since recorded history? Are we to believe that it will be different this time? Why? If humans were better today than they were during the Inquisition and more civilized, we wouldn’t be discussing gun control at all. But the issue is what to do to protect ourselves without giving up our liberty in the process. And the truth is there is proof that no matter how well intentioned such laws were when enacted, the result has always been the murder or innocent civilians.

Our military is the most advanced on the planet, more than capable of protecting all of the United States from border to border and sea to shining sea from any enemies. But why are we paying them to protect other nations and corporate interests? If they were all brought home to defend  America, we would not have the need for the excessive military spending we have now.  And with a smaller military force that is backed up at home by the very capable and well armed citizens, less taxes need to be levied on the businesses and work force in America.
Some will say that we live in a more dangerous world today than even that of fifty years ago. That is all the more reason for the people to be well armed and trained in protecting themselves. How many planes would have been taken by terrorists if all those brave Americans were armed? Even a Sky Marshall or a few on a plane will be targets to take out before taking over the cockpit or crew.

I am saddened by these school killings, and I am appalled that those in positions to do the most good have instead continued to play a dangerous game of politicking which only serves to embolden criminals and place more good people in harm’s way. I will not however be willing to give up any rights for the illusion of security. Not once in human history has the banning of weapons benefited the people at large. Not once.

So here we are, looking at spiraling debt and out of control government spending, as the government looks for more ways to restrict the rights of its citizens as it taxes them into poverty. We have reached a fork in the road and if we take the path to the right, we may have the means to restore the Republic and our natural liberties and rights. Or we can continue to allow 534 people in Washington to continue to ruin our nation while they continue to enact laws designed to take more of our rights and our property.

Still think it’s about Democrats and Republicans?

Chuck Chuck: No Defensive Senator for Defense Secretary

Why a Presidential appointee for Secretary of Defense shows up for a confirmation hearing so totally unprepared and clueless, bumbling, mumbling, and stumbling over simple yes/no answers is beyond me. If this is the choice of the President, Obama is truly doing what he can to destroy our defenses.

A Commander-in-Chief that has control of the most formidable weapons one the planet, must have a Defense Secretary that is competent in military and political strategies when dealing with the types of enemies that we have created.

Charles "Chuck" Hagel is obviously not the choice that I would make. Actually, I would like to see someone like Ron Paul in that spot. A true statesman that has military background and knowledge that would surely be a positive in our national defense interests. Unless the goal is not to strengthen but to weaken our defenses.

So let me see if got this right: The government wants to take our personal defenses away, while they are arming the IRS and other Homeland Security agents with "assault' military weapons using hollow point ammunition that is prohibited by international laws or treaties, design for maximum kill capacity. And they want the People by proxy of their Senators, to confirm a man who has little clue about any defense beyond covering his own hind quarters when caught in a lie or just plain demonstrably wrong about an issue.

While all the economy goes to hell in a hand basket, our elected representatives are looking out for our best interests by putting a self important member of the Republican Party up for confirmation by the Democratic-controlled Senate, showing the public that the liberals are willing to "reach across the aisle" and select a member of the "opposition" for a cabinet position. If anyone watched the badgering he got from members of his own party, it seems obvious that he is not the Republican choice for the position.

In all the time he was being questioned, it seemed that he was lost, unable to think quickly or clearly enough to even seem credible. Not the person that I would want between the President and the military. I can't imagine how he was elected as a Senator by a majority. The other choice must have been really bad!

The Results Are In: America Lost!

And so it came to pass, that the American people believed that the government was better equipped to care for their needs than they could themselves, and so when they were given the opportunity to stand on principles, they instead chose to shirk responsibility and hide behind the illusion of security.

Even after four years of broken promises and shattered dreams, they ignored common sense and logic. The emotional fervor that swept a little known young Senator into the Presidency in 2008 was replaced with an acceptance of fate.

When I first started writing about the elections to come back in 2010, it seemed that the most relevant issue was how the Republican Party was going to respond to the overwhelming support they received from the Tea Party, mostly independent voters who for the most part, were not pleased at all with how the Democratic President and his Congressional majority handled the debt crisis, the health care issue, and the joblessness in America.

A young Congressman, Paul Ryan won his seat on promises of no compromises regarding spending or debt ceiling increases, and yet even after his broken promises to the American taxpayers, he was selected as the running mate for a third-rate GOP nominee.

Even with widespread reports of vote fraud and delegate fraud by the Republican National Committee and many of the state committees, conservative Americans somehow held the belief that they could somehow topple the incumbent President simply by campaigning on negativity.

The American people can be fooled by the people they came to trust. The privately-owned major media was all in President Obama’s corner, never wavering their loyalty to a man who has underhandedly done more to obliterate the Constitution of the United States of America and the rule of law, than any President since Woodrow Wilson. Wilson of course signed the Federal Reserve Act which place the wealth of the American People in the hands of private banks. President Obama has shown himself to be one up on that by selling the wages of children and grandchildren to the banks even before they are born.

I have written many posts in these past two years outlining the danger and I have been ridiculed by some and simply dismissed by others. I have constantly read comments that Romney will beat Obama since he is the lesser of two evils. But when the majority of the People spoke, they were satisfied with the present evil and did not want to change to a man who consistently changed his own platform to suit the current trend.

After the Republican National Convention was over, an early GOP nominee dropout emerged as a third party choice. Gary Johnson became the Libertarian party candidate and began his campaign with Ron Paul’s ideology. His results did not hurt either of the party favorites although there are a few people who think that his support hurt Romney.

The thing that hurt Romney the most is Mitt Romney. He fell further from grace by selecting a running mate who had lied to the American People to get into office and whose budget and spending plans would take 30 years to show any improvement in the government.

Ron Paul supporters were even asked to back Romney after Dr. Paul was shunned by the GOP and pretty much locked out of a speaking role in Tampa. I for one did not feel I could back the man nor the party that exhibited such blatant disregard to ethics and the rule of law.

So now we face another four years of an Administration of secrecy instead of transparency, of legislation from appointed czars and directors instead of Representatives and Senators. It seems evident that America in heading towards its end. Liberty and rights are mocked by this President. He has blatantly shunned the rule of law, placed Americans abroad in grave danger, ruined any chance of an economic recovery in the foreseeable future, has made executive orders his method to take dictatorial control of this nation, while his supporters are praising him.

There are many dictators in history who ruined their countries by taking the same route to destruction as President Obama. And it seems the majority of Americans are either ignorant of history or just choose to ignore it.

Where will we be in four years? Will American be a sovereign nation or part of a global government?

We will soon know!

The Chance of a Lifetime!

History will remember the 2012 United States Election regardless of the outcome. It will either record the greatest defeat of liberty or it will be the greatest restoration of sovereignty known to modern humanity. As the world waits and watches the results, their fate will also be determined by the choice the American voters make.

Some will see this as a challenge between Barack Hussein Obama and Willard Mittington Romney. Others will cast it as a left versus right challenge between Democrats and Republicans. I see it as freedom versus slavery. And then I also see another choice other than the two favorites of the two corrupted political parties.

Gary Johnson dropped out of the GOP race early and became a Libertarian, embracing the same ideology that has been the hallmark of Ron Paul. Dr. Paul was defeated by that corruption and not be the People's refusal to support him. His views of constitutional government, fiscal responsibility, less spending and less taxing all will be proven to be the way to prosperity. History does prove that.

Gary Johnson chose to run as a third party candidate mainly because the two major corrupted parties have locked out everyone else who dared challenge the status quo. In digging through foreign news sources I came up with circumstantial evidence that showed that Ron Paul was the most feared candidate by the left in my post "Obama Issues Kill Order Regarding Ron Paul..." And how Dr. Paul was cheated by the GOP (See: "Tampering in Tampa") by refusing to sit his delegates in state caucuses and in the national convention. Cheating and lying has become the norm for both major parties.

Obama has not produced proof of his citizenship. He has spend millions to cover up his past. His associates and friends are labeled as socialists and radicals. His own words indicate that he wants to change America into a socialist dictatorship, and his actions to bypass Congress through appointed "czars" is more proof than a jury can deny. And yet the privately-owned major media still covers for him as they pretend to give others equal and fair air time.

This nation was founded on basic principles of liberty. It was never a perfect nation, although when we return to those basic principles and hold our elected representatives accountable, it does prosper and provide for the greatest majority of the populace.

Government created the problems that they always promise to fix. Let's start with the most obvious one. Since the installation of the Federal Reserve System, the nation has suffered through more wars and debt than at any time prior. We were the world's richest nation, the most industrially active, and best educated. And that was before there were federal income taxes or Social Security.

As a senior who is rapidly approaching the age where Social Security will be depended upon, I do not feel confident that it will be capable of taking care of my basic needs, even after having paid into it for over forty four years. I would rather have a President and Congress who respect the law and obeys the Constitution. That will mean that all of America will have greater opportunity to prosper and take care of themselves and their communities. Less government is more freedom, and more freedom is less regulation.

Only Two Weeks Left!

The lies Romney told years ago are now coming back to haunt him. When I mentioned this in many posts, most people called me a “Paulbot” claiming  that Romney, the man who finished third in the 2008 RNC race, was the best candidate the GOP had. They were wrong then and they are still wrong now.

There was and is only one candidate that Obama and his “handlers” knew would defeat the President in November. That is what the post, Obama Issues "Kill Order" Regarding Ron Paul and Russia Prepares for Nuclear World War III was all about. They all knew that Ron Paul was gaining support from the younger voters and the independents who were fed up with the farce of the so-called two-party system.

In caucuses and primaries across the nation, Ron Paul was gaining on all of the other nominees. In order to stop him, the votes were rigged; the rules were changed by the RNC to disenfranchise delegates supporting Ron Paul. All manner of corruption and media propaganda was used to stop Ron Paul from gaining the nomination.

It is always difficult to defeat an incumbent, more so when the players are cheating. But there is a solution. Vote for Ron Paul!

No matter how much the media and the parties tell you about their candidates, the truth is plain to see by all who wish to see it. Ron Paul is the People’s Candidate because his past and present reflect his commitment to obeying the Constitution and respecting the rights of individuals.

Ron Paul has a solid plan to restore the United States to liberty and prosperity.  Outlined here in the post Dr. Ron Paul's Plans To Reduce The Cost Of Government  he displays a logical and reasonable approach to make America great once again, both for the People of the United States and in the eyes of the world. All he needs from us is our support and vote.

Change Proposal

Change is the one constant that we all can depend on. Whether it is the weather or the seasons, the pressing issues of the moment, change is inevitable.

Many people resist change. “Why can’t it be like it was?” It is because like the seasons, we all change also. Some will change for the better as they experience and learn and others will resist changing no matter what they experience or learn to the contrary of their beliefs.

Nonetheless, change will occur. And in the context of what we live in as a world, the change that has been coming is not the change that most intelligent people feel comfortable with. But it remains constant.

Here in the United States, we get to elect a new President every four years, and if we are pleased with the performance during that term, we can elect the President for another term of four years. And how shall we measure that performance?

Some will say that during Obama’s term, their lives are better. Most will probably say otherwise. I include myself in the latter group, as I have witnessed the rise in unemployment, much of which is unreported since many of  those who collected compensation have exhausted their benefits and are no longer counted as unemployment claims or job applicants for that matter. Many jobs have just disappeared over the last four years.

Some will claim that the Affordable Patient Protection Act will help millions who currently have no health insurance to be covered. My experience is that the price paid for that coverage is less coverage for those who have been paying premiums and even those who have been using subsidized or government provided health care in the past. I have felt the change on a personal level by being denied coverage for dental and vision, and even for a medical device prescribed by a specialist.

The justification for denial of care is an accounting policy, not a medical one. And as more of the Obamacare policies come on line there will be more complaints and less coverage all coming at a higher cost to those who will be paying so that others, currently like me, will have coverage. But once again, having coverage and being denied treatment is still like having no coverage at all.

The candidates debate issues, many of which are targeting particular groups of voters. What they are not debating is the basic liberties and rights that are being taken from the American people. Sure they have justifications for doing so. They always can justify their actions and many people will believe they are justified in doing so.

So I am proposing change in our government, not just in who sits in the Oval Office, but those who legislate in both houses of Congress. I propose taking Democrats and Republicans out of office and replacing them with citizens like ourselves who have no vested interest in creating laws that benefit their lobbyists and themselves at the consequence of so many millions of America people.

I propose that doctors and not politicians help write health care policy without the interference of groups like the American Medical Association and their pharmaceutical manufacturing supporters.
